Bay area has a temperate climate. View of San Francisco Bay, Oakland Bay Bridge, San Francisco, Angel Island, Tiburon, boats, ship traffic. San Francisco is 20 miles by car, BART trams are 5 miles from home. Condo buildings are nestled next to a regional park, on property where there was once a brick making factory; two kilns and a chimney still stand on the property. There is a small marina and single family homes nearby. The condominium complex (called "Brickyard Landing") is very quiet, some retired people, some working adults of various ages. It feels like being in a small town in the country, with big cities and many natural wonders an hour's drive away.
My Hometown
Quiet, small town feeling with San Francisco easily accessible by car or public transport. Historic Point Richmond, 2 miles from home, has restaurants, coffee shop, two small grocery stores, other shops. Town was important commercial rail connection to ferry boats before the bridges were built, and also housed many ship building workers during World War II.
