Oceanside is a quaint community close to famous beaches and tourist attractions, 40 minutes to Downtown San Diego and less travel time to local cities such as Carlsbad, Del Mar, La Jolla to name a few. Local shops, restaurants, San Diego Zoo, Sea World, Gaslamp District, Torrey Pines, etc. Public transit is walking distance, no need to drive. The train is affordable and convenient.
